The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has rolled out, and the website for Obamacare is having some issues. This article by Tami Luhby details four major complaints regarding new healthcare policy. The first of which is that many people are having trouble signing onto healthcare.gov, left bereft of online access to healthcare signups. This has aggravated many; however, both federal and local authorities are working to fix the bugs in time before December 15, the coverage signup deadline (the coverage begins on January 1). The second complaint is that some insurers are receiving coverage applications containing incorrect information. Yet, the Obama administration is working with insurers to address the problems manually as they come up. The third complaint is that the costs are too high--an ironic grievance in the face of the law's name. Still, the ACA has been "a godsend" for many with pre-existing conditions and those ineligible for coverage. And, many signing up for coverage are eligible for federal subsidies, which greatly reduce monthly premiums. Finally, a complaint has been made that Obamacare has resulted in the augmentation of their premiums under employer-sponsored premiums. Indeed, some companies are changing their plans due to the ACA; however, Obamacare is not the driving factor in premium increases. Firstly, the bill institutes new fees for companies and insurers starting in 2014. Secondly, the reason healthcare costs are rising is because the economy is improving, resulting in an increase in visits to the doctor.
This article seems to be written from a moderately left point of view. It acknowledges the problems with the ACA's rocky start, but acknowledges further the incoming solutions to said problems. I would wholeheartedly agree with such a point of view; are there problems? Absolutely. Are they on the mend? Absolutely. On problems with the healthcare.gov website: truly, some glitches and frustrating bugs--inconvenient as they certainly are--are not worth the fiery outrage they've been met with.. People can still call the 800 number to sign up for insurance, plus the other options available. There's no need to go down the all-too-traveled road of, "the website's glitching! Impeach him!" President Obama himself has addressed the problems with the website, saying, "no one is madder than me that the website isn't working as it should--which means it's going to get fixed."

Carson I love you. I completely agree with your point of view. I mean the issues are bound to occur just as in any other system in the entire world. I am supportive of people voicing their concerns but once there are solutions being applied what's the point? Is it just to be petty and complain? I love you Impeach him comment. You ARE the greatest...
