Fayetteville, North Carolina: 2 year old girl Samarri Beauford fatally shot and killed herself. She was playing on the ground of her home when she found a loaded 22-caliber pistol that her father Melvin Andre Clark jr. had left there. The shot fatally killed the 2 year old. Melvin is being charged with involuntary manslaughter, and also for having a deadly firearm in the hands of a convicted felon.

I think this is a very tragic story. I can't imagine losing a 2 year old over a mistake I made. Melvin, being a convicted felon shouldn't have even had a firearm in his possession which makes the case that much more upsetting. I hope that he serves time for what he did... I know it was an accident that Samarri killed herself but she's only 2 and her father shouldn't have a gun laying around.
This is a tragic mistake. I agree that the father shouldn't have left the fun laying around . But I do feel bad as well - Michelle Zuniga
ReplyDeleteHow tragic and sad! Parents really need to take all necessary precautions for the safety of their kids. Situations like this are unfortunate although they can be easily prevented.
