NOBAMACARE!
The four biggest complaints on Obamacare are:
1. People are having difficulties logging onto healthcare.gov. The unprepared was making many errors as in not accepting user's login and password, as well as not sending emails to the people who forgot their passwords.
2. Many people's information is incorrect by fault of the system. It is signing people up for multiple plans, having duplicates, and missing full names. There is challenges with submitting this information as well.
3. This complaint I expected to be number one, however it is number three. The complaint is that the cost is to high. Confused why the plan is called the "Affordable" Care Act. People's plans that are being cancelled have complained for having to pay over double their previous family monthly plans.
4. Several readers with employer-sponsored insurance say their premiums are going up for 2014, and blaming Obamacare. Obama's care plan is causing many companies to change and limit their plan so that they can make some income themselves.
I personally feel that this plan is not benefitting our society. This could possibly lead to a second great depression and economic downfall.
I am still unclear as to what Obama care is specifically, but generally speaking it is definitely something that will take time to get used to. The public needs to understand that a huge new change like this one, will take time to get used to.
ReplyDeleteThis is certainly not something that will lead to a "second great depression" or the like, especially seeing as we are currently slogging our way out of a recession. Healthcare is something that everyone needs, and the Affordable Care Act is delivering it to many people who hadn't any access to it prior to Obamacare's rolling out. Many people "with pre-existing conditions, weren't eligible or couldn't afford coverage before. Now, they can get insurance since health reform bans insurers from discriminating against those who had been sick." --from the article: http://money.cnn.com/2013/10/21/news/economy/obamacare-complaints/index.html?source=cnn_bin
ReplyDeleteAlthough universally healthcare socially seems like a fantastic idea, the we are trying to achieve it in this country is completely economically unsound. On top of the fact that this plan has questionable constitutionality.
ReplyDeleteThank you Carson. The ignorance is all too prominent on this page. No offense to the ignorant. You guys need to do a little research on other economies (such as Canada) that thrive with free healthcare. How is an entire system all of a sudden a failure because of four complaints? List both sides of the argument if you're going to make such a bold conclusion. Also, how about you stroll through a neighborhood that is riddled with the sick and poor. Take a step back and do a reality check as to what it is you think is important. The fact that our veterans (you know the men who risked their lives for our country) are on the street begging for change with no way to support themselves, forget about paying for any type of healthcare since before if you had preexisting conditions it was nearly impossible. I could go on and on, but seriously, when did the health of our fellow Americans drop so low on the totem pole of importance?
