Anonymous Plans Washington DC March - Lizy Rutherford 4th Period

Anonymous is at it again. This time, the hacktivist group is planning to launch a march of one million masked members in the nation's capital. This event will take place on Guy Fawkes day, or November 5th, in order to celebrate the man who unsuccessfully tried to blow up Parliament, none other than Englishmen Guy Fawkes. This rally's purpose is to remind everyone that “that fairness, justice and freedom are more than just words.” Topics that will be discussed that day include (but are not limited to) genetic food engineering and government reform. The organizer of this event, John Fairhurst, says this "is not only a protest showing our strength in numbers, it is as well the issuance of a warning to the powers that be."

I personally respect Anonymous. Although I don't think I could ever join them, I find their rallies fantastic. The face of Anonymous, I feel, is the face of intelligent Americans who care about their futures and their governments, as well their world. It's like virtual representation, somewhat. I wish the best of luck to them on getting their point across.
