Kate Pinkerton - North Korea rocket program

Summary - North Korea recently launched another rocket. As a chart in the article shows, North Korea has made significant advancements on their long range missiles and rockets through many tests and new prototypes. The United States met with China soon after the most recent and more successful test. The US has said that they are willing to take military action against North Korea if necessary. North Korea said the rocket was only for being able to launch satellites but the US is generally suspicious that the rockets are for military use.

Analysis - This is frightening because the US and its allies are becoming in range of these fast developing rockets. The most recent one would be able to reach the US. North Korea has a history of hating the US since we fought them in the Korean War. Thankfully we would have several hours of notice before a missile reached the US but still the idea of an aggressive, communist, dictator ruled, country being our enemy and also having the ability to send missiles our way is a little scary. Its like the Cold War all over again! Woohoo
