Ava Noble: U-Shaped Skyscraper Aims to be the Longest in the World

SUMMARY: An architect has an idea of building the longest building in the world. It is 4,000 feet long, and it is in the shape of a U. It is called the Big Bend, and the people behind the works of it is the Oiio Studio. It is located in manhattan, but the space in Manhattan is limited, so this is becoming a big issue. There is no more room for them to build out. Ioannis Oiaonomou is the designer of this, and he has an idea of inventing an elevator on it that moves both horizontally and vertically. They are now getting a few investments from different companies.

ANALYSIS: I had not heard about this skyscraper before reading this article. I was just in Manhattan for spring break, and I never saw or heard of plans of the building. After looking at pictures of its plans, it is so beautiful. I am hoping they succeed in it being the longest building in the world; it is a great addition to Manhattan. This article is trustworthy because it is posted on CNN. I can synthesise this to the difficult process of building the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa. I am hoping this article got more companies to want to invest in the plans of the Big Bend.

  1. It's interesting to hear of this architect's idea. I think if more people invest it could be really successful.

  3. I agree with Lilly! It's an interesting idea, but more people would need to invest for it to succeed.
