AMBER ALERT: A 10 year old African American female missing!!!~Harper Jones

Summary: Two months ago, the Washington Metropolitan Police Department's new commander, Chanel Dickerson, made a pledge to find their missing girls. Lawmakers asked Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director James Comey to "devote the resources necessary to determine whether these developments are an anomaly, or whether they are indicative of an underlying trend that must be addressed."
"When children of color go missing, authorities often assume they are runaways rather than victims of abduction," they added. This matter has also been addressed on social media.

This is insanity!!!!!! #missingdcgirls
 @Andy
unite to find the #missingdcgirls !! This is unfathomable!

There have been concerns that young girls in the District of Columbia are victims of human trafficking or have been kidnapped, or that there's an increase in the number
But, what the community is alarmed about is the fact that they  had a 10-year-old girl missing the other day, but there was no amber alert. They feel like, if it was a white person or from another neighborhood, there would be more alarm about it.

Analysis: In the United States, unfortunately people are not treated equal. We could say that we are a UNITED nation all we want, but honestly, those are just words. It seems as if we have not made any progress. Blacks and Whites are still treated differently. Back in the 20th century, there was a boy named Emmett Till, who was murdered for supposedly whistling at a white women. His murderers appealed innocent and left out of the court room freemen. If the races were switched around, their would have been an entirely different outcome. But I guess that's just how it is.

  2. There is a new show starring Regina King that speaks on this matter. Sadly the 15 Year who ran away with her teacher has gotten way more coverage and manpower to find her.

    Praying fo this family and any others with missing daughters.

  4. There are so many topics, most political, that are dominating the news right now. It makes me so angry that news stations would rather cover those issues than the ones that concern missing lives. I hope with all my heart that these girls are found and returned safely
