Iconic Popstar, Prince, dead at 57
Singer/songwriter Prince, whose full name is Prince Rogers Nelson, died on Thursday, April 21 in his home. The pop star was found unresponsive in his home elevator, after suffering from the flu a few days earlier. Cause of death is still unclear however, we do know the remains of Prince's body were cremated. We wait until autopsy results come back, which will hopefully reveal answers.
An entire generation (mostly our parents') are in mourning due to the singer's death. His music revolutionized a generation and is now, a huge part of history that we can tell our children and grandchildren. He brought MTV into a new 'realm of creativity', and revolutionized all genres of music by implementing scandalous, new sounds that , at the time, were unheard of. His ability to entertain and perform for an entire audience of people, making everyone feel special, is one quality that will be missed about the late star. Although I can't relate, I know the generation who can will be in mourning for a while because they lost a star who not only revolutionized the music industry they knew, but also left their mark on history.
