Australian teen accused of terrorism Shara Jeyarajah p.8

A teen was arrested, accused of planning a terrorist attack during veteran commemorations. He was arrested in Auburn, Australia. He will be spending life in prison for the crime. The boys lawyer says that they plan on challenging the accusation. The justice minister described the darkness of the situation and the threat on Australia. This same event happened at the same time on Anzac Day. This day commemorated Australian and New Zealander veterans, aligned with the New Zealand army entering Gallipoli during WWI. It is believed to be one person acting on their own.
This is an incredibly interesting case. I wonder what made the police so sure of this situations occurrence, and what prove can be provided for each end.
This connects to APUSH because there was once a terrorism threat in WWII, where the Japanese were contained in fear of communication with the "enemy" Japanese. They were forced into internment camps, trying to prevent terrorist attacks from being carried out. While there may have been a threat, it was also a very rash move and a dark time in US history. A similar situation could have possibly occurred here.
