Federal Agents shot in Kansas by Mattie Whisler 9th period Flex

What started off as an arrest at a motel in Topeka, Kansas ended up with 3 federal agents from the U.S. Marshals Service's Fugitive Task Force shot. They originally were searching for Orlando J. Collins (28) on multiple robbery charges. When officers reached the door they were immediately fired upon by whoever was inside. 2 deputy marshals and an FBI agent were shot but will live. While inside and firing, the gunman lit a fire inside the motel room that eventually spread throughout the building. After the fire was put out officers discovered a body that is assumed to be Collins.

Things like this just show how crazy some people are. They would rather kill themselves than be caught by the police.
