A woman's demand for a specific gender has forever been present. However since gender changing was seen as wrong women have kept there hopes for a boy or girl silent and wished and wished until the day of truth. However, lord behold scientist now have a way of letting you choose the baby's gender giving you the ultimate authority! They do this through uses of PGD and Vitro fertilization. As many women from china and other foreign countries, they want their children to be males (so that they help out with hard labor, be strong, get a job, and provide for their family) however in other regions girls are high in demand as well.
My thoughts on all this is that we need to stop taking something that's already a miricale and manipulating it to our selfish wants. Babies aren't burger king meals, you can't have them your way. Your job as a mother is to care, love, mold, and provide for your child so that they become happy successful adults. By choosing your baby's gender I feel is selfish, and extremely disrespectful to whichever higher power you choose to look to.
Thats nasty. No wonder babies are born looking like other things these days.
