Bill Clinton On 47% by Clara McLain

In this story by Jason Easley, Bill Clinton is talking about how he understands the point Romney was trying to make with the 47% comment. But he also made the comment that the 47% does pay their social security, medicare, state and local taxes. Also, these people being criticized are not the moochers which the republicans and Romney supporters claim them to be. They are hard-working people who were affected by the economy as well as daily hardships, and the government should give aid to the people who need it.

I agree with Bill Clinton; it was appropriate of him to say he understands the thoughts of the higher income people and Governor Romney, and that the 47% do pay taxes. But, I don't agree with the fact 71.8 billion dollars was spent on the food stamp program in 2011. I also don't believe all of the 47% pay their taxes. If everyone was capable of paying their taxes, welfare checks and food stamps wouldn't be at such a demand.
