Jeson Aviles - With Park Funds Dwindling, Woman’s Endowment Could ‘Save Lives’ in National Forests for Years to Come

Bette Wallace, a woman who recently passed away and had a deep love for nature, left $1 million in her will for state parks. Having been lacking in financial support to maintain these parks, they found relief due to this woman's money and echoes of environmental love. Projects will emerge from this money that will dedicate towards saving lives and supporting volunteer infrastructure in parks. The Mount Rainier Olympic parks plan on putting their portion towards a creation of a monitoring system to ensure safety.

Environmentalists of the 1960s share a love for the beauty of the natural environment. Hopefully, through this money, more citizens will notice their effects on the world and pour further support into these parks, and exhibit practices of reducing pollution and elaborating energy consumption.

  1. This just proves that one individual can make a difference. I hope they make the most of her contribution.

Imagine how much more effective the movements would be if more than one person took action.
