Aeva Ramirez- GOP candidate suggests giving women the death penalty would reduce abortions

Idaho Republican, State Sn. Bob Nonini, who is to become the next lieutenant governor believes that pushing women with the death penalty would reduce abortions in the U.S. He first made this statement during a candidate forum hosted by the conservative Christian podcast, CrossPolitic. He said"There should be no abortions and anyone has an abortion should pay."

Words can't express how much this statement pisses me off. If a woman is raped and gets pregnant how on earth can you ask her to labor over a child that was forced into her for nine months. If a young girl makes a stupid mistake one day and has unprotected sex with a guy who probably wouldn't stick around long enough to know he has a kid you can't just end her young life and thrust her into the adult world without recognizing the negative effects that will definitely come with it. No one just decides to have an abortion. It's a decision that will always take a seriously emotional tole on someone. I understand both sides of the pro life and pro choice argument and this is something I am always battling with, the morality of it all, but I just cannot deny a young woman's fundamental right of choice and control over her body and any man who tries to argue otherwise needs to choose his words wisely because you will never have to go through this. If this State Senate is asking that a person's crime be punished with the same fate as the ones effected by their crimes then the death penalty wouldn't be an open debate, anyone who is a descendant from slave traders should be chained immediately, anyone who has ever raped a person should be raped in return. That's what you're saying State Senate Bob and that would get us no where and neither would death.
