Summary:
There have been a reporting of at least 70 people dead in Douma after a chemical attack. The attack was dropped by a helicopter which released a toxic nerve agent called Sarin. Many people who live in the area are injured and are trying to overcome the suffocating symptoms with help from medical relief organizations.
My thoughts and synthesis:
Back in 2013, the Syrian gov. also issued a chemical attacks in Eastern Ghouta which ended with the deaths of hundreds. In 2017 as well, 80 people died to the Sarin toxin. The Syrian gov., however; stated they were never involved.
Regardless on whether or not it was caused by the Syrian gov., this is an act of violence that should not be overlooked. People are dying and suffocating. The civilians can't really escape either since death is literally in the air.
