There have been multiple Virginian teachers that have walked out of their jobs to protest poor working conditions and unpaid overtime. In Oklahoma over 1000 teachers also walked out for the same reasons and marched onto the state capital. Budget cuts caused many school districts to dismiss a full day of school. Because of the uproar the sanitarian worker strikes brought, a lot has changed in the education system.

    It is so terrible that teachers in Oklahoma and West Virginia are treated so terribly and I wonder why there have been so many budget cuts in these states.

    I am glad to see that these teachers are taking a stand for what they believe in. It is very admirable. No one should have to put up with this kind of treatment.
