(I couldn't help myself)
Summary: President Putin has been reelected with over 70% of the votes, shown by a state-run poll.
This was expected since the other only oppenent that could compete with Putin was barred from entering the race. President Putin, a former KGB official, has been serving for 18 years. This has made him the longest serving leader right next to Joseph Stalin.
Analysis: This is partially unnerving because President Putin unlike North Korea doesn't really care for Western sanctions and diplomacy. He also presents a very high cybersecurity risk to the US since he was able to cause chaos in Ukraine by shutting off their lights in 2015. Russia especially hasn't liked the US since the beginnings of the Cold War, so this could create major problems.
