Stormy Daniels stated that she had been threatened by an unknown man in Las Vegas to not speak about her alleged relationship with Donald Trump during an interview for "60 Minutes." While some may think this is another "Me too" moment, Daniels has insisted that she isn't a victim and that what they did together was consensual. Her lawyer has said that while they don't have any direct evidence to connect the man to the Trump administration, they believe it's connected just because of common sense. Daniels had also received a $130,000 payment before the 2016 election, but Trump's attorney claimed it wasn't from the administration, but it was out of his own pocket.
This whole situation is kind of messy and hard to completely follow since there's so many contradicting statements from both sides. Regardless, it's still worries me to think about how much people in power are hiding. Even though Daniels isn't claiming she's been assaulted by Trump, it's still crazy to think about all the other people who HAVE been assaulted by him and others in power. Sexual assault allegations are unfortunately not a new thing to see within someone's presidency (ex.Trump, Clinton, etc), and it's really frightening to see the lengths these people will go to keep something a secret.
