Summary:

On Monday the supreme court turned down a request reguarding the constitutionality of the death penalty. Along with it it turned down the request to look into the sentencing of Arizona's criminals. They have been trying to bring attention to this case since 2015 but have not been succesful.

Analysis:

In Arizona basically any "criminal" whether guilty or not is eligible for the death penalty. i personally think this should change because  many people are charged with a crime but are completely innocent. This relates to history because it violates the 8th amendment that states no cruel or unusual punishment should be placed among the people taken into custody.
