Recent elections in Russia will put Vladimir Putin in position as president yet again. Because he controls the Duma, after this six year term he will most likely be granted another one (possibly more). He is already rearranging his old guard with family and friends (close confidants) to ensure security and trust. The United States has realized that they will need to deal with this using patience and possibly aggression.
Vladimir Putin’s method of replacing his guard is similar to FDR’s attempt to replace his cabinet members with new people who were “new deal friendly”. Trump also does the same thing by giving family/friends positions in the White House. This prevents diversity and multiple opinions necessary to run a country.
I think Vladimir Putin has been very comfortable with his power over Russia but it needs to change. It’s unhealthy for a country to be presided over by one man on multiple accounts. His reputation isn’t very respectable and I can’t imagine how the people of Russia deal with him. I want our country to cooperate but at the same time I don’t trust our president with serious matters. I hope Russians speak out and stand together.

Scary to think that he could be in such high power for several more years. Especially considering Russian relations with the US are so close.
