Katelyn Thompson- Kansas girl at center of 1954 school segregation ruling dies

Linda Brown wanted to be en-rolled in an all white school in Topeka, Kansas. Her father, Oliver Brown tried and the NAACP's legal arm brought the lawsuit to challenge segregation in public schools. Oliver Brown was the plaintiff in Brown v. Board of Education. As history continues, Brown won, and the plessy v Ferguson decision was overturned. "sixty four years ago, a young girl from Topeka, Kansas sparked a case that ended segregation in public schools in America. Linda was an inspirational woman who symbolized a freedom for african-americans.
This article was written for people who were for the desegregation of schools. It can related to the civil rights movement in the 1950's-70's, where many activists and events were breaking the glass ceiling. This article also mentions the Plessy v. Ferguson, a bill that call african-americans seperate but equal.

It's amazing how the legacy of history carries on, she should be extremely proud to witness such great history and learn secondhand how integration spread throughout history.
