Robert Warren was cleaning out the closet of his art gallery when he came across a painting that didn't seem like much. It was old, faded and obviously had suffered from water damage. He didn't think much of it until he saw the back of what looked like an auction tag, from then on, he was determined to find the history of this painting and why it ended up in his closet. He soon discovered that this painting was the work of Otto van Veen and was worth at least $4 million. As for why it ended up in his closet, the so called auction tag was actually a tag stated that it belonged to the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art and was then lended to Nason Collins who resettled it with the Demois Women's Club. It is amazing how people's lives can be turned around by one discovery. I am surprised that this painting had just been shoved away in the closet rather than keeping close attention to such an expensive piece of art.
