Daycare Workers Charged with Giving Laced Candy to Toddlers - Taylor Townsend

In Chicago, three daycare workers were charged with child endangerment after they had apparently admitted to giving the toddlers in the daycare drugged candy. According to the workers, they had been giving the two year olds gummy bears Melatonin to get them to calm down for nap time.
A manager at the daycare called the police after finding out what had been going on.

The police investigated and found a bottle of laced gummy bears that now contained four but had previously contained 120. When police asked the workers who were arrested, they said they didn't feel like what they did was inappropriate because melatonin is an over the counter sleep aid. As you can imagine, a lot of parents are upset with this.
