Trump's "relationship" with God by Mattie Whisler 9th period Flex

Before Donald Trump entered the Presidential race for the 2016 election he was living the high life as a billionaire living in New York. Something that made Trump such a popular scandal topic was that he's been married 3 times. It's not that it's a scandal to be married 3 times it's that he is a popular figure in society and it makes for good news. In an interview at the "State of the Union" Trump claimd that his old life is in the past and he now has a "great relationship with God" and a "very great relationship" with the evangelical Christian voters in Iowa. He said that his "good life" is the reason why he is doing so well in Iowa.

The "relationship" with the evangelical Christian voters makes it hard for me to believe that he actually means it. Why say that you have a specific relationship with these people? It seems like he only wants the votes.

  1. The fact that Trump makes ridiculous remarks to get votes seems quite odd. He either does not have the common sense to understand that genuine care for society gets votes, or he just wants attention.

  2. Very close with God. That's why he listens to his advice and belittles people with hatred over sex, race, and religion.
Wait, I don't remember him saying that...

  3. The fact that he has this relationship with God yet treats others so poorly is extremely hypocritical. By discriminating against so many people, he is worse than he pretends "all Muslims" are. Guess his holier-than-thou attitude has clouded his judgement.
