This article shows one viewpoint on Oklahoma's gun law that I personally agree with. I think it is hilarious that Oklahoma is banning foster parents from owning guns. I can totally understand what legislators are thinking when they ask for things like harder background checks or "military style weapons" bans, but I absolutely don't understand the reasoning behind banning foster parents.
I think that veterans and people on welfare might have mental issues which might make sense, but a foster parent does not make sense to me.What is the most dangerous thing a foster parent can do with a gun? Teach their adopted child how to hunt? These ridiculous gun laws are reminiscent of the British laws that led to the revolution such as the stamp act or the "intolerable acts", as they probably make a good deal of sense to the legislators, but to those who are affected by the law, it only serves to further the tensions on gun control without making too much of a difference. To me this law seems preposterous, however what do you guys think about these laws?
