A luxury hotel in Burkina, (a city in western africa) has been attacked by an Al Qaeda affiliated group. They seemed to begin the attack after security had done their daily walk around the parameter. The terrorists stormed into the building and started to take hostages. They manged to kill 23 and take over 100 hostages. The attack appeared to be well planned, as the terrorists seemed to have wanting something inside or had a kill count goal. The attack soon escalated into a battle between the terroists and security.

This is a very scary event. It seems that we just dismiss events like this Africa because they are so frequent. We need to raise way more awareness of violence all over the world. These attacks cannot be prevented it seems, and we as citizens can't just stop them. Our country is fighting, and we can only hope for the best.
