On Friday, the world's most credited drug lord, El Chapo, was arrested after a long 6 months following his second escape from jail in Mexico. For the past six months Mexico had been threatened by the power of one man who easily escaped the country's most secure prison. El Chapo has previously been arrested and escaped both times.
El Chapo is seen as the modern day Robin Hood, as his wealth grew to a multi-billion dollar industry he had made many donations to the poor and assisted with the repair of Mexico's economy. El Chapo is known as the biggest supplier of marijuana, cocaine, heroine, and meth in the world. Chicago is very threatened by his authority, Chicago received monthly shipments of 4,000 pounds of cocaine. Recently, Hollywood actor, Sean Penn, had secretly interviewed El Chapo to understand his story. Since Friday, El Chapo was sent back to the last prison he escaped from and is now facing the possibility of extradition to the United States, where he faces many drug trafficking charges.
I find this so so interesting, it's pretty crazy to think about how much power this one man has over the entire world. As a daughter of a US Border Patrol Agent, this impacts my family greatly and it really represents the importance of security in a federal prison. I think it is very important that the world gets to know his story, as many say this drug business had began for financial issues, but American instigators assisted with the gains of this guy. :)

Glad this guy is detained only if momentarily because he's back in the same easily escapable prison. I think the most justice would be served if he was extradited to the US, so I hope it does happen!
