Politician Arms Family for Christmas Cards by Shelby Linker, 8th period

Nevada Republican, Michele Fiore, armed her family with firearms for the sake of a Christmas card to show her support of the second amendment. In the top left of the picture she lists the weapons each family member is holding.

The first word that comes to my mind is "why" the second is "stupid." 1) Why would you ever think it's "okay" to hold a bunch of deadly weapons for a CHRISTMAS card photo? 2) Who would ever want to receive  this awful card? May I draw your attention to the young boy in the front holding what seems to be holding a handgun the size of his head. Yeah, that's not okay, at all. For me, you can support what you want as long as it doesn't put other people in danger because of your selfishness but this is pure stupidity to me. When has Christmas ever made you think, "Hey, I should take a picture with my whole family holding deadly weapons, stick it on a Christmas card, and send it to people?" It hasn't because no normal or sane person thinks that's okay. The thing about the second amendment is that it was created in a time where that precaution was necessary, now it's not so much. I'm not saying get rid of guns but waving them around for a Christmas photo and handing one to a 7 or maybe 8 year old is insanely irresponsible and  just asking for deadly consequences. I can't express how stupid this incident is or the person who came up with it is, hopefully you get the idea though. This just reminds me of all of the second amendment problems we've had recently because of people like Fiore. We could so easily save lives by restricting gun laws but we can't put down our toys and think about the greater good for just a little.
