Teens charged after video goes viral: Moseman

 14-year-old boy from Newark, Delaware, turned himself in to New Castle County Police Monday night, and officers arrested two other teen boys over the weekend in connection to the assaults. The three teenagers have been charged with misdemeanors, according to department spokesperson Sgt. Jacob Andrews. Because of their age, the youths' names are not being made public. This event has taken action and been very life changing. It also impacts us in more ways that we can imagine.

Viral videos of the assaults on a mentally disabled Delaware man led police to identify two teenage suspects accused in the attack, and a third suspect to turn himself in.The beatings occurred several weeks ago, but recently angered viewers across the nation after they were posted on social media using the hashtags #JusticeForCoran and #TheBullyProject.

  1. This story is incredibly tragic, as it shows that discrimination is still very rife, especially amongst youth. I hope we can encourage more tolerant views towards other people no matter the differences they may have.

  2. I can't begin to understand their motivations for assaulting a mentally disabled man. It's incredibly tragic that this occurred and I hope that they are punished accordingly.
