While two brothers were sport fishing in their boat north of Santa Barbara, California, they caught something strange out of their eye. A huge splash about a few feet high rose by some kayakers. it is believed that this shark was about 16 to 18 feet long and was a great white shark. these brothers saved the kayakers as the shark had bitten holes into their kayaks. these rescuers saved three other people after the first call they had received. the men had to bring the victims on board and tow them to land (a local boat house). the shark has knocked one guy completely in the air about 9 feet and punched about 6 to 8 wholes into the kayak.

water regulations and hired water patrol created and organized by the government are brought to attention here. is there any way we could have the air patrol men around beaches also patrol farther out used waters like these. Maybe this will prevent other future situations like this.
i think the beach should have shark warning alarms and flags like the ones in Florida to warm the swimmers and keep the beach safe. Celeste Rodela
ReplyDeletePeople need to be more careful when they go to the beaches. They need to be more aware of their surroundings and not swim far away.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard many stories of a shark acting violently towards people who weren't freely swimming in the water. It's very lucky that the people were saved by the fishermen. I wonder how far out these kayakers were and if the coast guard could've possibly helped.
