A article posted on CNN.com is about a 4 year old little girl who insults her mother out of the blue. The video was posted on October 1st, 2014. Jeanne Moos, reports on "momhead" video's on YouTube the things her daughter says to her. She wears a GoPro while doing her daily routine and reporting what her daughter says to her. Her daughter says things like, "Mom, did you take a shower today because it sure didn't work." This article is interesting because it demonstrates how little kids are very blunt at that age. They don't do it intentionally but it can be very funny to listeners. This video can also reflect a little on how society is about expressing opinions openly. It is funny to watch but not when it is directed to you. This impacts the U.S. socially due to the actions of people today.

The little girl is very young, but I believe that the insults can lead to more problems with the child as she grows older. Children should be corrected when making jokes about their parents' behavior/appearance/actions. -Elizabeth Muscari 6th period
ReplyDeleteI feel like as young children we are more comfortable with ourselves and talking about others we have no filter, but as we age we become more aware of others' feelings and hold back.

I agree with Elizabeth. Talking to your parents this way and at that age could lead to later problems as the child grows older. This is time time that the parents should correct their kids.

ReplyDeleteMy parents are very big on respect and I would have never said stuff like that to them. I think that rather than being nonchalant about the issue, her mother should take immediate action and try to correct the issue at hand, because like Elizabeth said, it can lead to bigger problems. -Azra
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this has anything to do with the kind of tv shows this little girl is watching. my little brother is kinda like that im noticing and so are a lot of the kids in tv nowadays very blunt and disrespectful
ReplyDeleteYo these kids have no chill. Like if it was my parents, I guarantee they would have slapped me crazy. They would leave a mark so deep you would think the mark was from birth. And it IS crazy how society makes it seem like no big deal. But one day, that child is going to say the wrong thing and get their tongue slapped back in place
