SUMMARY: This morning an innocent person was injured by a creature. However, it was her fault. October 6, 2013 an incident occurred at 10AM at The Garold Wayne Interactive Zoological Park in Wynnewood. An Employee was bit by a tiger, and according to CNN, the lady "violated safety protocol and placed her hand inside an adult male tiger cage." Shortly after, approximately two minutes later, the park medics arrived and airlifted her to the OU Medical Center for Surgery. The worker ended up dying. But, the tiger will not be put down, and the woman ultimately took fault for the occasion and said she had planned on returning to work. It has been said that the tiger hadn't shown any aggressive characteristics in the past and had never hurt anyone. I would hope that anyone dealing with wild animals would take extensive precaution when doing so to prevent events such as things from happening. After all, they are "wild" animals.
ANALYSIS: This article was created by Melissa Gray, and Kevin Wang, both with CNN. It was reported at 11:07 AM EDT, on Sunday October 6, 2013. Considering that events such as this occur quite frequently, I believe it was just a general post, with no audience in particular. Zoo workers could learn from this if they saw the article as a warning. I guess it never hurts to remind them to be cautious. To them, it could have a somewhat positive influence, by indirectly teaching them to be careful when dealing with wild animals. This document is relevant because it alerts zoo viewers and workers that this is what can happen is you do not take or make proper precautions at the zoo.
