Summary: We all know the crazy things going in Miley Cyrus these days and the SNL she hosted showcased just that. The show started with "old Miley" telling "new Miley" that the Music Video performance might be too controversial but in the end she told old Miley that she knows kids look up to them but shes still growing up herself. She said shes only 20 and she will always stay true to Miley Cyrus. She then proceeded to say Hannah Montana is dead. She finished the nights skits and closed with her hit songs "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball." Overall she got through the show without being an exaggerated mess.
Analysis: This whole Miley Cyrus thing is just crazy to me. She quotes on the show that she stopped twerking because all the white people are doing it and its lame now, but in fact Miley Cyrus is also white. I dont know if she is insinuating that shes not white or only black people should twerk. She has seriously gotten out of hand. Theres a difference between expressing yourself and going over the edge. The craziest thing is her mom goes along with it and doesnt care at all. Seems like shes just acting out to get attention if you ask me.

I think Miley was fine when she was about to get married, but then somehow she became crazy and he broke up with her. I think that she is acting out for attention towards her ex. I have listened to her album and it is all about her ex and how she misses him, how he broke her heart, and how she has changed, Just because her ex broke up with her doesn't mean she has to go this crazy. I miss the old Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana.
ReplyDeleteMiley is not getting the best of both worlds. She isn't chilling it out or taking it slow, she is attempting to rock out the show.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Joi. I believe she is trying so hard to get away from her previous Hannah Montana image that she is overcompensating a bit. Hopefully she will grow up and find the middle ground where she is happy.
ReplyDeleteMiley Cyrus is a queen.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, she said all of those things ironically. There's something off about her, and that's what she wants others to think (in my opinion). You've got to understand her kind of humor to understand her.
...not saying I understand her, but she is in fact a queen. Not a Beyonce level queen, but a queen nonetheless.
