New laws in many states have made abortion illegal, and doctors can be sentenced to up to 99 years in jail for performing one, which is longer than what a rapist could be sentenced to.
This decision takes away a womans bodily autonomy, and we need to put more effort into separating church and state as many opponents of abortion are religious conservatives.
