Alex Carrington- Our Phones Aren't Spying on Us?

Today, Hollie McKay published an article through Fox News that claims that the government isn't really eavesdropping on us through our phones, but they are tracking our search histories, shopping accounts, and personal interests.

This article reminds me of the Patriot Act that was employed following the attacks on September 11, 2001.  The main purpose of the Patriot Act was to combat terrorism by tracing money that funded terrorist groups. Those held under this act were under surveillance by the government.
