There was a post on New York Times titled Pregnancy kills. Abortion saves lives. I agree with the statement that the article is making. It discusses the fact that pregnancy is a health risk to all women and many die because of it, and it poses more of a health threat to women than abortions. By banning abortion we jeoperdize the lives of women and take away the rights to their own bodies. There was a story about a woman denied the rights of abortion and she turned to other methods, unhealthy methods, such as coat hanger or otherwise and lost her life. This is something that occurs frequently for women in this position.
A lot of people have been bringing up the Roe V. Wade court case and how this problem was solved years ago. But somehow we seem to be continually fighting women oppression. The world has taken a step back since Roe V. Wade.
