By opening about her faults she allows the increase of awareness especially by saying this in front of her mom and daughter. This go as a warning to all young minds to not corrupt themselves with pornography and being a disconnection with physical connections with real peoples. Further admits the faults of this technology driven age . This reminds me of Nancy Reagan's "say no" campaign because it is in both cases a message to people to mind the corrupting opponents of life.
