When a health inspector noticed unusual things in a massage parlor in Jupiter, Florida such as a couple suitcases and frightened young woman who spoke little english, they reported their findings to the police. These findings led to an investigation of a suspecting human trafficking business going on in this parlor, which turned out to be true. The woman were brought from China and were promised jobs in a massage parlors, but they did not sign up to be prostitutes. Some women's passports had been taken from them, and some were suspected to be paying off a debt that had gotten them to the United States. This investigation was considered a rescue mission for these woman involved in this multimillion dollar business that went from parlor to parlor. Many men have been charged with having sex with these women and running the money laundering business. Some of these men were were charged with associating with this business are Robert K. Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots, John Havens, and John Childs. This investigation is still ongoing and there are still clients and women that have yet to be found.

This issue can relate to the banning of immigration in the 1920s that prevented human trafficking in the U.S., after slavery ended, there were not many cases of forced prostitution like there is now in the U.S. With newer technology and ways to smuggle people and hide them against their will was not as possible there was not as much immigration and technology. Most human traffickers come from the U.S. and pick people from foreign countries so their identity is not as known. There isn't any events similar to this besides when illegal slavery occured.
