Finch's Bite Is 320 Times More Powerful Than T. Rex's - Savannah Ghermay

Researchers recently found the numbers to evaluate strength in animal bites. Using supercomputers, they found bite force and body mass to track evolutionary changes in animal groups. Specifically jaw power. It was found that if scaled to the size of a T-Rex, the finch would have a bite 320 times stronger.

This is an amazing discovery! To think that one of the most legendary creatures on the planet actually is weaker than would be expected. Although the dinosaurs are a species that have been extinct for ages now, it is still important to keep researching them. Especially since most thought that because of its size, the T-Rex would have been the most powerful creature.

  1. I don't know what to do with this information, except hope that Hollywood doesn't catch wind of this and decide that the next Godzilla or Jurassic World needs a supersized finch.
