Jude Holland - Tornadoes In Alabama and Georgia

Last Sunday, more than a dozen tornadoes touched down in Alabama and Georgia according to the National Weather Service. A number of fatalities were accounted for as well as the destruction of many homes and buildings, including an airport and forestation in Eufaula Alabama.

Natural disasters such as tornadoes and hurricanes are inevitable, yet when they do happen it is the responsibly of those who know about them to warn the citizens that the storm will affect. In this case, there wasn't a huge number of victims, but in many cases many lives are lost simply to a lack of communication or warning about storms. We should also improve vulnerable communities to be able to withstand storms like these to prevent future destruction.

  1. I hope the communities that were hurt by these tornadoes are fixed from destruction. We need to come together to help alert people of these natural disasters and help to aid victims. Lily Philips

  2. Emma Burkey: I totally agree that we should help the vulnerable communities and provide them with more places to go, as well as educate them on proper procedures in order for the number of casualties to decrease.
