Racketeering suspects all plead not guilty in college admissions scheme- Nik Puri

After numerous cases have been filed in court, the results are quite surprising. More than 50% of the college coaches, sports administrators, and test administrators pleaded not guilty yo the college admission scandal. The prosecutors claimed the defendants plotted a scheme to cheat on standardized tests, bribe college coaches, which in return, the coaches helped the student gain admission into the school. Of the 50 defendants, only 4 people have been convicted. Not all of the cases have been addressed in court yet, but the guilty party number is expected to stay low.

This article was published by Eric Levenson and Mark Morales on March 25 and was updated at 4:46 PM ET. The date implies that the information provided in this article is accurate. Until I browsed this article, I was fully confident that the number of people convicted would be a lot higher than 4. I guess the scandal wasn't much of a big deal as I thought it would be. Furthermore, this article was targeted towards the American people and the the purpose of this was to inform them on the most recent news of the trials. Finally, this article is significantly important because it leaves us with the conclusion, that the college admission system isn't totally and completely biased.
