Jose Reyes, infielder for the NY Mets baseball team, has officially become a citizen of the United States. He and his wife took citizenship tests and were given passports to the country before his win against the Phillies that night. It was a big deal for the couple , as they stated that they both plan to live in the US for the rest of their lives. Jose said that this is has been a great country to him and he is so thankful for what opportunities America has given him. He’s been coming here since 2000, and because of all the work he put in, his family back in the Dominican has food on the table. He and his wife are very appreciative and excited to continue their life together as new American citizens.
