Last night, there was an attack on Syrian "chemical infrastructure" in response to chemical attack on the Syrian people by the Syrian government. This attack was a joint attack by the United States, France, and the United Kingdom. President Trump announced the possibility of a sustained attack. The National Security Adviser John Bolton wants a more ruinous attack, connecting to the war hawks of the War of 1812, including Henry Clay and John C. Calhoun.
The United States is supposed to not get itself too involved with the Syrian Civil War, but who knows anymore. This could be like the attack in last April, where we don't get too pulled in; however, I don't know anymore. Too much stuff is happening to not result to anything.
