43 House republicans recently , so far, have announced retiring, running for another office, or resigning. Democrats need to take up 24 seats to retake majority. Democrats have not had majority since 2011.
It's too early to tell which way the house will go.Locations of these seats will be vital to the push for healthcare reform and tax reform. Some states are seeing a higher number of seats than others. This new change is important because it's a big change inside government. Kinda like when FDR appointed Hugo Black to the Supreme Court.
