Big Shock: Fox News might not be a credible news source // Trevor Turnbow
Ground breaking news
Fox news was airing a broadcast in which they were discussing the results of a poll of Monmouth university on whether or not they believe that the media regularly or occasionally reports on fake news. The results of this poll are inconsequential to this story as fox news proceeded to accidentally project a different graphic. They accidentally publicized a poll result that showed which news outlets trusted the most. The ironic part is that the poll told that Fox News was the lowest rated new source, with only 30% of those polled saying that they trusted Fox News.
This really isn't a big surprise, Fox is a notoriously biased news outlet. Using them as a reliable source on news is not advised. This whole fake news concept isn't uncommon to the American political cycle. Historically we can see this same kind of idea in muckrakers. They would dig and dig to drag people who were political opponents to those the outlet supported. This has been a common practice and a tendency to post articles that aren't necessarily true has become increasingly frequent and led to a lack of trust from the american people, and a lack of transparency amongst the political elite in DC.

wow how crazy! I'm just glad this information has officially come out so more people will know that fox is unreliable and they shouldn't really be using it to get their news.
ReplyDeleteI agree that fox is unreliable and giving news and it's not surprising.
