The presidents of two of the country’s leading HBCUs decided to use education to address and handle a problem of our nation which is sexual misconduct and assault. The leaders believe that the behavior is simply unacceptable and there has to be a real change and that change comes from the cultural shift  in our nation. The shift starts on the college campuses, there was a conversation had challenging these people to develop such a model community that could be a national example of higher education. This was a call to action that challenged leaders to expand efforts around title IX and create historic cross campus alliances. But they didn’t realize that focusing on title IX wasn’t enough they then discussed what was the best way to expose the students to the causes and the continuous violence towards women. They also made sure to show them how it affects the individuals sociological, economically ,and as well that individuals health.According to research college education helps our students as citizens nd future leaders. It gives the better view and helps them influence things and impact communities. The protest on both campuses called attention to the need for more education for the students and prevention programs. This has strengthened the title IX program that they’re working on at both campuses and also the administration. I connect this to history because of the student movement this was just as that inspired by the civil rights movement these two presidents in no way are doing things violently they’re using the students voice to guide the movement.
