6 Years After Attack Malala Yousafzai Returns to Pakistan

Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai is a feminist icon and UN speaker for speaking of the importance of girl's education especially in countries such as Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan and Israel. This has been difficult since the early 2000's due to the Taliban's arrival and interference with Pakistan and blew up all girl's schools and also made it illegal for girls to be educated. She is famous for speaking at the UN but her story began when she and her father worked with British and Canadian publicists to anonymously discuss girl's inequalities under the Taliban's rule along with publicly speak and encourage girls to become as educated as possible. She was later shot by a Taliban leader but miraculously survived, she remained in London for the next six years as hadn't been back home since. However, recently she had the opportunity to go home back to Pakistan and she was overjoyed as she saw home for the first time in nearly six years.
