Last Saturday night was the Gridiron Club Dinner where Trump, after attempting several sub-par jokes, discussed the state of U.S. foreign policy. Specifically, the prospect of North Korea reaching out about possible talks. Trump explained that the U.S. would be willing to engage in political meetings with North Korea if they "de-nuke". Abandoning their nuclear weapons program would be a crucial point in neutralizing the threat North Korea currently presents. However, White House officials have yet to respond to a request for clarification as to what this might mean for our dealings with Kim Jong Un's regime. For now, Pyongyang scientists continue to augment their missile guidance systems with the goal of creating a warhead capable of re-entering our atmosphere. The independent nation continues to approach Trump's aforementioned "red line", at which point serious action will have to be taken to disarm them.
