Jordan Jimenez - Kim Jong Un and South Korea

Moon Jae-In, the president of South Korea, has chosen two officials to lead a delegation of 10 representatives to visit North Korea, making it the first time Kim Jong Un has met with South Korean officials since he took power six years ago. They will discuss ways to improve relations with one another and Chung Eui-yong, South Korea's National Security chief, even stated to "have an in-depth discussion on measures to continue various talks between North Korea and the international community, including the United States." Finally, after the trip, the delegation will go to Washington to tell the U.S about the encounter.
I personally think it's really good that North and  South Korea are interacting with each other in a way that doesn't bring any harm. I find it to be a step in the right direction whenever "enemies"can sit down and talk to one another instead of immediately using violence. There's been tons of moments in history where two countries talk things out and come up with some agreement to end their conflict, and while maybe one side doesn't always keep it in the end, it's still good that someone was willing to compromise in the first place. It would be amazing if one day North and South Korea could reunite if Kim Jong Un would give up his ways, but for right now, progress like this is a good thing.
