Today in Burkina Faso the terrorist group Al Quaeda has claimed responsibility for the attack that has happened in a luxury hotel where people from many nationalities commuted, including western diplomats. 23 are confirmed dead, and scores of hostages were being rescued. West African troops recieved help from American and French forces. Soon after they stormed the building the gunshots faded.
Its horrifying news, and I pray for the families of the deceased. This attack was most likely a response to Burkina Faso's election of a president. I'd be curious to know if this affects the U.S' lifiting of sanctions toward Iraq at all.
This is truly horrendous, and a deadly reminder that influence from things like the Cold War still plague the world. Its also a deadly reminder to the U.S of what wrongful, terrible mistakes that the it has done for "democracy." The invasion of Iraq was the drop that spilled the glass for organizations like Al Quaeda and ISIS. I hope someday the U.S will carry out full responsibility instead of having hateful men like Donald Trump say they would "bomb the shit out of them". Do the people that follow him even KNOW why ISIS whas created? Does HE know? "Make America great again"- what a bunch of bull. "Repeat America's worst mistakes", more like.
Bombing the shit out of anything is not the answer to everything. I wish those ignorant people would realize that this whole situation happened because of that way of thinking. "We can just topple Sadam Hussein's regime, make them a new gov. gift them a new leader, and occupy the country with our miliraty. No humanitarian crises, no war, no slaughtering of innocent Muslims, no 9/11, no ISIS, no Al Quaeda, and no distabizing the entire region." Right, and also no Abu Gharib- Look it up. Bush thought it was all going to end well didn't he? Now the war has reached France and Africa.
All these people like Donald Trump want is war. They might as well say that all they want to see is the world burn. They embody America's arrogance, and imperialistic policies—"Bush cowboy mindset that military intervention only incites fanatics that spreads like an aggressive cancer." (Politicsusa.com)
